This large classic Italian villa is located in one of the most unspoiled areas in Tuscany, right between the renowned artistic town of Volterra and the Tuscan coast, where the closest destination is Bolgheri. The area is famous for its fascinating typical Tuscan landscape, characterized by sweet hills with olive trees and cypresses and for embracing a rich flora and fauna.
This property is ideal for families due to its fenced large swimming pool as well as for those looking for a luxury villa in Tuscany where they can fully relax as the resident guardians provide cleaning and cook service for breakfast and dinner, 5 days a week.
This villa is an ancient residence which belongs to the same noble family since the 19th century and has seen various renovations, conserving a mix of ancient beauty and modern comfort. This Tuscan villa with private pool is part of an extensive estate of about 1200 hectares (2.400 acres), which also includes an ancient castle with its village. Clients particularly enjoyed being walking distance from a restaurant(a ten minute walk) : one of the most appreciated trattorias of the area. The Village of Montegemoli is very charming and it boasts a rich history, being also the birthplace of Dante Alighieri's mother, which makes it a touristic destination itself.
Montegemoli is particularly convenient for sightseeing. Within 30 minutes driving from this beautiful Tuscan villa, it is possible to reach the famous artistic town of Volterra, as well as the beaches and wine destinations around Bolgheri, famous for the Sassicaia wine production. To reach San Gimignano takes less than one hour driving, Siena and Pisa are around at one hour; Florence and Lucca instead can be reached in around one and a half hours.
The Villa was built on three floors and the ground floor is reserved to the staff, who takes care of the property and its guests. The interiors offer wide rooms furnished in a classic style with pieces of antiques belonging to the family for generations. Spending a holiday in Villa di Montegemoli is like taking a leap in the past with an authentic retro and relaxing atmosphere, with the option of having a small touristic Village at walking distance.
